At MOPS a few weeks ago a guest speaker talked about teaching our children about money. One of her ideas was to have a box for fun money, a box for donating, and a box for saving. Hunter and I decorated the boxes together and I gave him $3.00 for the week. He wanted to put a dollar in each one. As the new week rolled around I gave him another $3.00 (because he is almost 3), Hunter again wanted to put a dollar in each one. His "fun" money can be spent at anytime (ice cream truck, dollar store, etc.). His "give" money will be given when he has a good sum to give, and his "save" money will go into his bank account.
