A Day at the Park.......

Thanks to my sister, we had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours at the park today. It was a beautiful day , in the mid 70's, and it felt nice to be outside and get some fresh air. Hunter enjoyed sitting on the grass with Lauren and I , and he was entertained by Lauren rolling down the hill toward him. With Grandma Diann in mind, Hunter made sure that he had his hat and sunscreen.

Dinnertime......

Dinnertime tonight was pretty entertaining ! Hunter has figured out that if he stands between Wayne and I while we are eating he will receive food from both of us. Hunter doesn't look very happy in the picture,but I assure you that he loved the food, he is just wondering what Wayne and I are laughing at..........

Suds in the bucket !

Oh the joy ! Bath time at our house is in the morning ,and it is such a delight. Hunter loves to see the bath fill up, and loves to watch the water go down the drain. Even when we are leaving the house early I try to make time for a good long bath.

Lowering of the mattress .......

This weekend Wayne and I decided it was time to lower the crib matresss. Since then it has been lowered again because Hunter was standing up in the crib today when I went to get him from his nap. The little guy was so happy to be standing in the crib, but I knew instantly that we had not lowered the mattress enough. While Wayne lowered the crib, and I cleaned the room , Hunter played with the trash can . After a few days of crawling I have learned to keep the trash cans empty.

Standing Up........

On Friday Hunter started crawling, and on Saturday while I was at school he pulled himself up to a standing position. And this is literally what he has been doing for the last three days. As I type he is standing holding on to the table. As you can imagine we no longer have anything on the table, and he has five or six bruises on his head from hitting it so many times.

It is official...... Hunter is crawling !

After four painful months, Hunter is crawling. I say it is painful because watching him struggle for so many months has been hard.Well today the light went off and with a little help from a kleenex, and the remote Hunter made his way all the way down the hall. Wayne and I were both home to relish in our son's accomplishment.

Froggy

This is what bath time has come too! While I am trying to get him lotioned up and dressed, Hunter is steadily emptying the basket on the changing table. In the end, he is happy emptying the basket, and I am happy because he is dressed and smells good !

Jumperoo.......

Hunter received this Rainforest Jumperoo from my Aunt Lola & Uncle Ron. Wayne and I seriously owe them thousands of dollars because they have provided us with hours of entertainment. Hunter has been jumping since he was 3 1/2 months old. Family members have made special trips to the condo to witness the Jumperoo. On the other hand, Target and Babys-R-Us owes Wayne and I because we have talked three or four couple into buying the Jumperoo. This is how it goes, we are walking through the baby section and notice families gathered around the Jumperoo, thats when Wayne and I move in and make the sale. We tell them Hunter loves it, and plays in it for hours. They are convinced and load the Jumperoo into the cart. I have even had Hunter demonstrate in Target. Really , I am not kidding !

Happy Valentine's Day.......

At the last minute our Valentine's Day plans changed so we stayed home, and had a nice candlelight dinner. Sounds romantic, right? Well it was Wayne, Hunter and I sitting around our little kitchen table eating spaghetti. Wayne loved it,and we had a great time watching Hunter open his Valentine's Day card. There is nothing better than having dinner with my two favorite people!

Disneyland

Last weekend, Wayne, Hunter and I went to Disneyland, and California Adventures with our friends Justin,Laura, and their two boys Brayden and Landon. We had a great time ! We stayed across the street at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. Although the park was pretty busy we were able to get on all the rides that we wanted to get on. On Monday, we spent most of our time at California Adventure. We were able to make it to a cute show about why it is hard to be a bug. Wayne and I thought it was really cute but, Hunter on the other hand, cried during a few scary scenes.

Good Morning.......

Staying home with Hunter has been a dream come true, mostly because this is how my day starts. He is so happy in the morning, and gets so excited the days that Wayne is off. Wayne and I will both jump out of bed so that we can both see what he is doing when we open the door.

After alot of thought , I have decided to join the blogging world. With Hunter, I could probably post everyday because he is growing so fast and changing day by day. Wayne and I are also doing alot of great things, and I thought it would be fun to share. After three years on the department , Wayne is going out to patrol. This means many long hours, and an increasing amount of stress. For myself, I have started the Teaching Credential/Master's Degree program at the University of LaVerne. I had no idea the amount of work I was getting myself into. Thanks to Karen, my mom, and my sister, I seem to be making it work. So we have plenty to share, and I will do my best to keep the blog updated.
