13 weeks

(Remember this is my blog and I can write what I want, this might be to much information for some readers. Please read if you are curious about the new addition to our family.)

Well the cat is out of the bag, and I am amazed by how many people are so excited for this next baby. Although we were not trying for a second baby, we had already had the discussion and were in agreement that we wanted to expand our family. I was hoping for a baby late next year, but the idea of another Summer baby is sinking in and we are really excited.

Wayne and I have known that we were having another baby since I was about 5 weeks. Wayne, Hunter and I had spent the night with my mom and John in Palm Desert and when I woke up on Monday morning I knew I was pregnant. I had not gotten my period yet, and I was not feeling normal. I waited until we got home to take a test, and to my surprise I was right I was indeed pregnant. I stuffed the test back in the box and went to school. I wanted to tell Wayne right there but didn't want to drop the bomb and then leave for school. That night in bed, I told him that I had taken a test and it was positive. Of course Wayne does not trust those pregnancy tests and was not going to get excited until I went to the doctors. The next day, I went to Facey and confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. Wayne was at work so I had to delivery the message via text message. And so the hiding began, we decided to not say anything until the end of my first trimester which happened to be December 22nd.

As the weeks passed it was harder and harder to hide being pregnant. At 10 weeks I could not believe one morning when I looked down and could see an extended stomach. I knew for sure my mother-in-law would figure it out (she doesn't miss anything, and I see her all the time), so sometime during my 11Th week while over for dinner, Wayne and I spilled the beans to John, Karen, and Kyle with the promise that no one else would know until my mom and sister knew. We told Ryan the next day because he happened to be gone the night we had spilled the beans. So from there on we continued our silence until Christmas Eve when my sister was on to me and couldn't help but ask as I walked through the door.

The last three months have been interesting. I have for sure been sicker this time around. I have some nights where I just plain do not feel good, and I have lost many mornings. Within the last week or so it seems that I have turned the corner and am not nearly as tired or sick. So as of today I am feeling great.

We went to the doctor today. We were able to hear the heart beat for the first time, and I always feel much better after hearing that unforgettable sound. The baby is already really high. We scheduled our 19 week ultrasound for February 9Th, and are excited to see a healthy baby, and if it is a boy or a girl.

Our next adventure is just a few weeks away. We are going on a cruise which leaves from San Juan, Puerto Rico. It should be an interesting trip with a 19 month old.

I will keep you updated as we progress through the pregnancy. My next appointment is in the last week of January.

Christmas Morning

Much to Wayne's dismay we stay home on Christmas morning. He would rather be out going from house to house, while I am content with my little family in my little condo. We woke up at 8:45 (yes Hunter sleeps til then), took our time getting ready and enjoyed a nice breakfast before we packed up and went to John and Karen's.

Christmas Day

Most of Christmas day was spent at John and Karen's. The kids had a good time opening gifts. By the end of the day, Hunter was the only kiddo left. All the rest were either with their other parent, or off with other family.

Happy 29th Birthday to me......

This morning I woke up to my two favorite guys, and a bouquet of flowers. There was a card from each boy, both the cards brought tears to my eyes. There is something so special about my one year old coloring on my card, and my husband telling me that I am the best thing that ever happened to him.
My mom called to sing to me, along with my friend Michelle.
We are going out tonight to enjoy a nice birthday dinner.
What else could I ask for....

Christmas Eve

I love Christmas, but most of all I love Christmas Eve at my moms house. My mom has been hosting Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember. Its time for laughing, games, and present exchanging. For my cousin its time to insult us all, and carry on the legacy of being a jerk. What is a holiday without extended family ? After the excitement of Wayne and I having another baby rolled over our family opened presents and enjoyed our night together.

My sister and Mike gave Hunter a baseball rocker that plays "Take me out to the Ball Game"
Hunter loves it...
Lauren and her new skateboard
Wayne received new work boots
