New Arrival

Wayne and I are overjoyed to announce the arrival of our new baby girl.

Madalynn Jean Mahaffey

She weighed 7 pounds 12 oz and is 20 inches long...

She arrived via c-section on June 28th at 10:33 AM

Mom, baby and family are all doing great !

Gone Fishing

I use to feel bad for myself on the days Wayne had to work, because when he is gone he is usually gone along time. Like 16 hours. I have recently changed my attitude and focused my attention on staying busy and enjoying my son. Now that I have a brighter look on working days, I am able to enjoy his days off so much more.

Friday was one of those days were I just felt really lucky to have my husband around during the week. We woke up Friday morning, lounged around the house, and then decided to go spend sometime on the lake. We gathered some stuff and off we went... and boy oh boy did we have a great time ! We cruised around, fished, and ate lunch. The boys even jumped into the chilly 68 degree water.

Swimming Lessons Day 3

Day 2 of swimming lessons was a rough one. The first five minutes consisted of throwing up in the pool, and once he was done I meanly wiped him up and put him back in. After the throwing up episode he settled down and finished the lesson. I was too distraught to take pictures.

Day 3 was much better, he is slowly getting better and doing everything Mrs. Laurie says. He still cries every time we make eye contact so today (Day 4) I am going to the Dr.'s and Wayne is going to take Hunter to swimming lessons.
