In T-minus fifteen days, fall semester at the University of La Verne will be coming to a close for the holidays. To say the least I have so much stuff to do, I can hardly stand to think about the reality of the situation. The situation is that I am not aloud to be on the computer during the day ( Hunter detests the laptop), so I am left to doing homework between the hours of 8:30pm to 12:00am. Last night after Hunter went to bed, I worked steadily on prepping a lesson, and completing a lesson plan in time to present it this morning at 8:15 in front of a teacher sent out to observe me from the University.

In attempt to organize my thoughts, I am listing what is due and when so every time I sit down to look at other blogs I am reminded of what needs to be done.

EDUC 464- Introduction of the Teaching of Reading (Monday Night Class)

• Finish entrees on online discussion board called Blackboard, the good news is that I have 4 out of 5 done already (due November 10th).
• Reading Comprehension lesson plan #2 plus three page write up (due November 3rd).
• Silvaroli Classroom Reading Inventory , I have already tested the 4th grader now I need to finish the write up (due November 10th).
• Fieldwork Logs , where I record what I have seen during my observation hours , I have 5 out of 10 logs done (due November 10th). The logs are about a half a page each.
• Complete Reading Resource Notebook, plus 1 modification for each of the 35 strategies in my notebook. In other words, I have to show how I will make modifications for students who are struggling with a given strategy. I wish you could see the size of my notebook , papers are busting out of a 3' binder (due November 10th).
• Prepare for final exam (November 10th)

EDUC 474 - Teaching in Content Areas (Saturday Class)

• Three lesson plans (due November 15th)
• Visual and Performing Arts Lesson plan , plus sample of project (due November 15th)

Wow, now is that a list and a half or what....... The good news is that I am this way at the end of every semester , and some how some way I always get it done and walk away with an A.

Back at the park...

After My Gym on Tuesday we met Landon and Aunt Janice at the park. What can I say... the little guys love the park ! The sad reality is that they play on the play structure for the first ten minutes, and then they play where we don't want them to for the next hour and a half. Janice and I finally threw up our hands, said it was too hot, and took the boys up to John and Karen's house to play for awhile.

On Thursday evening, we headed out to Golden Valley High School to support Uncle Robert's (Wayne's cousins husband)freshman football team. To say the least our team was wiped out by a cross town high school West Ranch.

A Night Out........

After Lombardi Ranch, Jamie and I took advantage of our night without husbands. Mike was out of town, and Wayne was at work. We ordered dinner, and the kids played.

Sleepy Boy

I will have to start by saying that Hunter never sleeps with Wayne and I. Mostly because he loves his crib and sound machine. So I was really excited when he began to cry the other night while I was in bed watching tv.

Wayne was at work, and I was excited to bring him to bed with me. What else can I say..... I love to watch him sleep, I look at his little toddler body, and kiss and hug him. He keeps me company and doesn't even know it
